Plastitech, a company that has been working in the agricultural plastics industry for 40 years with a distribution network across Canada and the United States, is currently looking for a forklift operator to work in its warehouse.
Responsibilities:
Load and unload merchandise from incoming vehicles and stack it in designated areas;
Move packaged goods on pallets around the warehouse;
Stack empty pallets in designated areas;
Locate and move stock onto pallets for storage or shipping;
Identify damage and report any shortages or quality defects;
Verify that loads are properly secured;
Ensure the workplace remains efficient and safe;
Make sure materials and products are always in the right place to maximize efficiency.
Any other related tasks
Requirements:
Proven experience as a forklift operator
Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment
Ability to assess weights and judge distances and heights
Willingness to work in variable temperatures depending on the season
High school diploma or equivalent
A high level of attentiveness is required to avoid injuring others; promote a safe work environment
Carry out tasks accurately, promptly, and safely
Maintain a clean and safe environment.
