Protect your liner, extend its lifespan
Every nail, screw, or staple driven into an ice rink liner creates a perforation. These small holes allow water to seep in, expand with freezing and thawing, and eventually tear the liner. After one or two seasons, it often needs replacing.
EasyFix solves this problem. The channel is installed on your boards, then the ice rink liner is held in place by a zigzag spring wire that presses it into the channel along its entire length. No fasteners penetrate the liner. It remains perfectly intact, watertight, and can be reused for several winters.
Why choose EasyFix?
- No perforations: no nails, screws, or staples in the liner
- Extended lifespan: an intact liner can be reused year after year
- Watertight integrity preserved: no leaks around fastening points
- Uniform, strong grip: the liner is held along the entire length of the boards, without tension points that cause tearing
- Taut liner: no creases, no slipping, even in the wind before freezing
- Easy removal in spring: remove the wire, the liner releases without damage
- Reusable: channel and wire serve for multiple seasons
- Compatible with our 5, 6, and 8 mil outdoor ice rink liners
- Made of cold and corrosion-resistant aluminum
Installation
- Attach EasyFix channels to the boards, end-to-end, around the entire perimeter of the rink.
- Spread the liner white side up and bring it up onto the boards, distributing it evenly along the channel.
- Insert the end of the spring wire into the channel end to lock the liner in place.
- Continue inserting by bending the wire one section at a time. For each new section, overlap by 2 to 3 in (5 to 8 cm).
- Ensure the wire does not extend beyond the channel ends.
- Optional: trim excess liner, leaving a margin of about 3 in (8 cm).
In spring, simply remove the wire, clean the liner, and store it: it will be ready for the next winter.
